When working with SAP PI/PO you usually use it in scenarios involving ECC integration with 3rd party systems. Therefore, maintaining connection between ECC and SAP PI/PO is essential step in every project. This guide will show you how to properly maintain configuration of Integration Engine in your ECC system. This guide applies to any other AS ABAP application as well including SAP BW, SAP PPM etc.
- Create a connection in SM59 as presented below.
2. Choose connection type ‘G’, provide Target Host, Service Number and Path Prefix parameters. In tab Logon Security provide previously created in SAP PO user that will be used when ECC calls SAP PO.
3. Configure Integration Engine. To do so navigate to SXMB_ADM -> Integration Engine Configuration. Then press ‘Configuration’ button.
In the configuration you need to add the following parameters as presented in the screenshot below.
- RUNTIME – ENGINE_TYPE
- RUNTIME – IS_URL
- RUNTIME – LOGGING_SYNC
Please make sure you use connection previously created in SM59 (Step 1). In the end your configuration should look pretty much alike.
Voila! You can test your Integration Engine configuration now. The check result should look like this.
